Hi
Probably a stupid question but is there a particular type of massage person I should be looking for, general massage or chiropractor etc
I often read People having a massage done regularly or "have you had their back done" etc
She's showing no symptoms and we are only light hacking but I want to keep her in good nick.
Thanks

I use an equine massage lady for my horse as she can pick up on any sore bits that may mean his saddle needs looking at earlier than anticipated for example. She helps me know what's going on at a muscular level to make sure I can consider whether he is doing ok or not. It's a useful check up and if nothing else he sometimes quite enjoys it!

I use a fantastic equine sports massage therapist. Used to be as and when (usually at 3 month intervals) but due to new PSSM diagnosis this will now be a monthly occurrence. It's great as it can help you pick up on any little issues and then look to get an osteo or chiro if needed. The lady who I use is so caring and knowledgeable, she usually gives me some stretches or little bits to do with him in between visits as well. He's always swinging after his massage!

My horse all loved their massage sessions. This is who I use, though looking at your username she will likely be out of your area. She’s ridden and competed to a high level herself. Like everything, you need to get the right person.

This mare is rather creaky and has had a fair few niggles, and massage alongside regular vet and vet/chiro checks helps to keep her comfortable.
