Make up

Due to the problem Inky has with his eyes running all the time ( being treated by vets ) the tears have dyed his lovely brown face a horrible hint of beige!! I have got some major shows coming up and wondered if horsey make up would help disguise the lightened colour and turn it brown?

Anyone had any experience with make up and does it look natural? If so any recommendations on makes?

Have you tried using felt tip pen? Or a waterproof mascara??

Several companies do horse make up - try designer browbands for example. You need to practice to make it look natural, but basically, use a sponge to dab into the make up, then dab onto the areas you need it. It should be OK when it gets slightly wet, but not sure if his eyes run permanently whether it would work or not. I think the answer is to check out several websites for something reasonably waterproof (maybe give Jill at Designer Browbands a call) and then test it before the show.

I could be completely wrong here but have you tried the stuff for dogs that gets rid of the brown stains that they get around their eyes and mouths (sorry cant think of the name) but you should be able to find it in most pet stores I know pets at home do it?
