Hi
I am a bit of a traditionalist but I do quite fancy those diamond blinged browbands which seem to be in fashion (I mean the leather ones used for dressage & SJ - not the velvet RH, SP ones - I have made those myself ion the past)

I would like to know where to buy the so called bling. Have checked out e bay but not sure how I should search, I have found little strings of diamante which can be stuck onto something, but the ones I have seen which have been commercially made have different types of diamantes - all colours & types of stone. I am not sure what that is called - I assume its some kind of diamante braid which is used in dressmaking or crafting?

any ideas please of how to do your own - or which company's sell reasonably priced ones that won't fall apart!

many thanks

I don't know on ideas of making your own but I have bought from both Wolds Exclusive Bling(on FB) and Equiture...no issues with either and very beautiful :)

I have seen some lovely ones at the local tack shop for about £12 so not overly bad :) I would love one but I reckon my RI would disown me. Cant wait to see her face when my custom saddle pad emblazened with the horde logo shows up!!

I've made a couple myself. these are the headings that i bought from ebay:-
DIAMANTIE GLASS CHAIN TRIMMING 4MM X1M
Swarovski vintage pp24 crystal or acrylic,brass,rhinestone chain.(2meters)
Used spare browbands i had, so worked out really cheap.

I bought mine from my local tack shop, had it about 2/3 years and so far no diamantes have fallen off, however it's a very subtle bit of bling as it's just on the corner of the browband.

I'd also be interested in how they're made/making my own - I know you can get special tools for adding diamantes to clothes, but not sure if they work regarding browbands.

I would like to have a go at making one too. I can find the single chain crystal trims on e bay, but if you check out the browband below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLING-Lea...t=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item418e17ecb8

it looks like the rows of crystals on this are on one chain - rather than a few separate rows - this is what I can't find - the larger thickness of diamante chain if you like - not sure how to search for it!! I keep finding the single rows in different sizes but I really want similar to these!

anyone ave any ideas please! thanks
