Making damp hay more palatable

My hay is a bit dusty. I could really do with damping it but horse won't eat it damp. I did a search on here and people have just sprayed it with tea or apple juice. Is it still working for people that gave done this?

I haven't tried it but maybe make up some mint tea and then spray it all over, that may work or could you encourage your horse with sticking some carrots in it?

Have tried carrots, he just buries his nose to get those out then leaves the hay!! I think I will try a small haynet with the tea, it's worth a try, thank you.

Expensive but use a hay steamer, they seem to love the steamed hay.

Similar but I used to get peppermint flavouring and mix it up in a spray bottle then spray the net

Not too expensive if you make your own! Wallpaper steamer and large box with a hole in works just as well and I agree it did make it more palatable.
