I have gone a little mad in my efforts to match. I have decided to take the plunge in deciding to buy a secondhand dressage saddle from my saddler. This has required a new set of tack as I want a black saddle as opposed to my current gp/jump saddle which is brown. I have decided on 'corn blue' which is the le meiux name for https://www.horsehealth.co.uk/saddl...ressage/prosport-classic-dressage-square-navy. I have put together a sparkly browband using an empty channel browband and the right colour sparkly stones in blue.
I then eyed out an old pair of roma brushing boots thinking I could use them as a 'pattern' for making my own boots. I amazingly, managed to find the right colour faux leather and have ordered black neoprene, Velcro and edge binding for the rest. I have asked a local equestrian shop who has a bespoke service if they would use their industrial sewing machine to sew it all together as my sewing machine won't be able to handle the thickness. (just to close down one response, the padding on the inside will be to the same standard as the roma ones).
Has anyone else gone to such lengths and have any advice based on your experience?
