I just dont get it .... its being pin pointed down to two eastern european men yet they are travelling the country in matter of hours.. 2 horses were stolen off the livery yard im at probably about a month ago an a few nights after a few more were taken from up the road ... from reading posts it seems the thiefs are the other side of the country but i noticed on the notice board dwn the yard today another two or so had been taken not far from the yard again, tueaday night i believe.. surely with all the cars there is being spotted there is more than just two men involved?! How are two men simply getting so far and not gettin caught ... theres got to be more people in on it ... Ive just seen the new website thats been launched for stolen horses and it tells you how a thief will go about to get what they want and it scares me to realise how they mark there spot out for them to go back too and some of us havent seen any of the planning in making to prevent the steal

There has not been an increase in horse thefts over what is normal for this time of year. Who can say that any horse theft was down to Eastern Europeans?
I think the normal horse thieves will be having a field now now, because all attention has been drawn away from them by these rumours (which I do think are mainly just that, rumours.)

Whats Appleby Fair got to do with it ?

I always thought that Appleby was covered with police and that... maybe im mistaken ... it would be nice to have all the stolen horses there to be found but i dont think that would be happening

If you have CONCRETE info about ANY horse thefts then by all means list but you MUST attach the Police issued Crime Ref number to be taken seriously and proper and complete details.

Is there any way HHO could put a sticky at the top asking newbies to read ALL posts before posting in this forum?

I did think that when I was writing it, but if someone just scanned the first page of this stolen forum they would notice that the same thing has been posted over and over.

Admin did put up a post about this, but for some unknown reason didn't sticky it. maybe they should be asked to do so.
