Now we have mostly geldings i think, but we bred them so didnt have much choice

Personally, I love the personality combination that two females together gives! We both clash sometimes, but then we understand one another, too. I've had geldings in the past, but I think if I had the choice I like having a mare!

I have one of each, but wouldn't have a mare again - too hormonal. Having said that, my mare is the better horse of the two and when she isn't hormonal, she's fab - much bolder than the gelding.

I have 4 mares, 1 filly and 4 colts. I have only ever brought mares as I find them the most fun to ride. But the mares have all bred colts bar one, so I guess I am going to have to get used to riding the boys.
