As the camp I am attending starts at the same time as the world cup they are opening a man creche for our partners so they can watch footie and we can play with our horses in peace.Lovely,
 
is rather sexist! My partner would far rather be doing horsey stuff than watching football! (thank goodness, I would hate to be a football widow, would far rather be a showjumping widow!!)
 
Well in fact this is a bit of a specialist camp.Its designed to encourage people who, for one reason or another, wouldn't usually have the confidence to go to camp.I wouldn't,for one.They are welcoming partners,dogs etc. and partners, horsey or otherwise,are welcome to join in with anything going on.The camp is not full though so to encourage others who may be hesitant, there is the man creche for partners who, while they may be willing to go along for moral suport, don't want to miss thefootie.Rather thoughtful I thought.My husband isn't in the least offended by this.Its called a man creche but would be equally suitable for non horsey female partners who love football.
