Appartantly he was trying to help catch a loose horse when the horse kicked him .

Oh no, that's the sort of thing I would do, dive in without thinking...and I usually get hurt.

Mum said she heard the same - he stepped in to help a girl with her horse apparently

I had it brought home to me how dangerous kicks can be last week when my yearling double barrelled me - full whack - but got me in the chest. If my boobs hadn't been in the way I'd have had broken ribs - any higher or if he was bigger - it would have been full on in my face. Nasty. Its made me much more cautious.

Poor man. Only trying to help.

yea was so sad i was athe the show but didnt see it happen. think he was there to see his grand kids ride .

Unfortunatly saw it. The girl was bucked off and her horse paniced and was running blind around the lorry park, the pensioner was assisting a group of people in trying to catch the horse and it just sent him flying. RIP.
