Mane being rubbed out

I can just pull strands of my mare's mane out with ease. I'm guessing its the neck rugs that are rubbing it out but is there anything I can do to stop it? Fingers crossed the neck rugs wont be needed for too much longer. I left hers pulled back tonight as its milder than it has been.

mine's the same. i've changed to his normal neck one. it's milder now - he'll just have ot live without the neck cover or he'll be bald!

this happened when my daughters horse had combo rug on, we have resorted back to no neck rug now.

My filly rubbed her mane out so I bought a Mark Todd hood and aussie leave in conditioner and it has started to grow

A Mark todd Combo neatly removed a good chunk of star's mane this autumn, so be careful.

use megatek rebuilder stuff from horsehealth (?) I was recommended this and even though it's not working yet, I live in hope!
