mane falling out

So my boys mane has fallen out, prob due to his neck rug rubbing it and killing it off and he looks a right state with half a bushy mane and half a neck of fluff!! Just wondering if anyone has used any if these wonder products that claim to encourage and promote hair growth, dont want to waste money of something if its a load of rubbish, any advise peeps? He has to wear his neck rug as Im a mean and nasty mum that makes him live out all year

Have used MTG before and it does help it grow but while you are using a neck rug it would be pointless, I would start using it once you take the neck off, I have a pure bred Arab with a lovely long mane, the only way to keep it that way is only put the neck on when it is very very cold, and never brush the mane unless going to a show and use lots of mane and tail spray everyday.
