How long does it take for a mane to grow back, I have never had this problem but B has lost all his mane, I am frightened of touching it as it seems to be falling out, I have the regionals in 8 weeks, think I will have to make some and sew them in
 
When I bought my mare she had been hogged and her mane is growing back really quick, about an inch per month at least. For no mane at all tho im not sure if the initial re growth would take a little longer???
 
He has a bucas rug with the neck, but when it went really cold i bought him a fleece with a neck, I admit I over rugged him I think he got to warm and the pores on his mane opened as there is no sign of rubbing
 
My appy was hogged last winter and has had all summer to grow his mane out. It's still only about the length it would be if it was pulled but I've been putting pig oil on it and it's doubled in length the last 6 weeks or so.
