Ok so I am taking a friends horse to a little fun dressage test next week (more for me then the horse as I get scared riding in front of people and tend to freeze but there will only be about 10 people there so trying to work on confidence)

Any way said horse's mane falls half to the left side (mounting side) and half to the right

I am going to put a hood on the night before and try and plait the mane over so it's on the correct side for the day

But... WHICH SIDE IS THE CORRECT SIDE?!?

Think plaits should be done on the right. An odd number through mane, then one for the forelock. Don't worry re mane falling to wrong side naturally. Shorten it up, bit of product and firm, even plaits will hold good. Best of luck!
