mane protector

I know the sun is out for most of us, but i'v been thinking about protecting my horses mane from rug rubbing next year.

I have come across 'supreme products bib with mane protecter'

That could be the link, never tried putting one on before

Has anyone tried one of these before, and do you know how they stay in place

Or any ideas/recommendations on any other produts for a horse living out.

I saw that in a magazine, i couldnt figure out how that wouldnt rub the mane? Surely its the same as having a rug with a neck? Id be interested if someone has used one, i know they are new this year so doubt anyone would have used one over winter. If it works id buy one!

if you want a full mane in the spring then use a traditional neck rug! bingo a full mane! if you can live with a half and half mane then buy a full neck rug! horses wont shrink in the rain and IF they are so frail and sensitive to the cold wouldnt they be better brought in at night?
