Last winter my horse rubbed out a big chunk of her mane - she's never done it before but I think because it was so cold for so long she was in a neck cover a lot more than she usually does.
The mane has just about grown in, but is still pretty fine in the former bald area and looks a bit sad despite my endless efforts (megatek = waste of time and money by the way!).
What I want to know is does anybody have any advice for protecting her mane over this winter as I think if I cover her mane it'll just rub away but obviously she can't be left cold. Are snuggy hoods the thing? Spraying show shine over her existing neck covers? Any advice gratefully received ... xx
