Mane supplements/products?? Advise please

Hi
My horses mane is breaking and falling out due to wearing rugs all of the time. This happens each year and now his mane is really thin and wispy. He also has big gaps in his mane where it has fallen out..
Has anyone used any hair growth products? I know Global Herbs do a supplement called Hair Rite, has any one used this before?

Id appreciate any advise on how to make his mane grow back or to strengthen it.

I stitch fibregee into the rug where it rubs the mane and this prevents it happening. It is generally a seam that causes the most problems
