Mane turning grey/white any idea ?

Over the past couple of weeks our ponys mane is turning grey/white. His mane is black. It started with the odd one his mane but now theres a whole cluster on top where the top of his bridle goes.

He's only 6 so not from old age.

Anyone got any clues as to what it is and why ?

if it's only where the bridle sits it would suggest some form of trauma. Is the bridle too tight or moving and rubbing him? If it's elsewhere in his mane as well I would seek advise on nutrition.

I agree with Ella, could be bridle/headcollar rubbing or too tight.

Certainly sounds like some form of pressure damage.

Does the pony have fine skin? Is he easily marked elsewhere on his body?
