Lucy scratches her face alot, not neurotically but enough to notice it. She's ended up with a few bald patches on her face but haven't been too worried as no redness etc.
Shes got a slight lump/sore looking patch on her leg near her elbow, assumed at first she had caught it while scratching or had something stuck under the skin, but it's not healing and if anything its got bigger and more inflamed. Will pop her to the vets next week to be on the safe side but just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas .. pic to follow

My white boxer used to have all sorts or random skin inflammation, sore ears, bald bits and sores. I changed his food to Millie Wolfheart and it all cleared up.

See she's not had itchy ears etc its just around her nose/eyes she rubs alot. Absolutely no redness, dry skin etc in that area though.
Forgot to say shes up to date on advocate etc

when i got a 2nd dog he was in a poor way skin-wise.(but i took him anyway)
first day a trip to the vet,no fleas so skin scrape done while i waited,no mange present.
he had been fed on b..k.... changed him over to what my other dog has straight away (not gradual) and could see a difference in him in a week.
now he is a shiney healthy boy.
he is on grain free skinners duck and rice. (i put it down to wheat/poor diet in his last home)
also have you googled `hot spots`? worth looking into.
hope improvement soon x

Googled hot spots, shes a greyhound so hasn't got a really thick coat and its in a place with plenty of air too. Possible though. Shes already on wainwrights lamb and rice, rest of her coat is shiny and good condition so I'm at a bit of a loss as to why its just those specific areas! She's not overly bothered about it, just worried its something more sinister, was thinking ringworm at first but doesn't quite fit and kids/cat/me are all clear and she's had it a fair while

Have a allergy blood test done at the vets.

My cocker rubs her face and nose and we found she has a few allergies. She is on the immunotherapy jabs to see if they help.

My lab scratches her face incessantly on pretty well any food, including Skinner's 'and rice,' ranges. I don't know Wainwrights but does it have any bulkers? Skinner's has beet pulp. Young lab is now on Millie's wolf heart (blame Thistle) and no more itches.

Yeah beet pulp, no wheat though. Not too different in price for the millies wolfheart, might be worth a try.
