mange mite

Can anyone help me please, my section d mare has mange mite on the outside of her legs and on the back of her heels. She should have feathers and she is a chunky cob. Her feathers are clipped out. I have been told that many horses of her type get mange mite. I take the scabs off and hibiscrub the area, She is going to have a jab but in the meantime while I wait for the vet is there anything I can use to relieve the itching ? feel so sorry that I can't help her exept to use sudacream or vaseline . Any suggestions

frontline spray should sort it.

I ditto frontline spray.
Spray on for 4 days and get it right next to the skin and that will kill the mites break the cycle.
My horse used to stamp craters in the field.
You can onky get it from the vets though.

Pig oil and sulphur clarted on for a week. Remove the scabs each day. Works better than the injection and is cheaper
