Hi Siena, if manor farm is the same as Petersham farm (just behind the pub and next to Petersham nursery backing onto Petersham fields) I was wondering about this yard too. I had a good snoop around the perimeter the other day and dont think its occupied, although the house has furniture in now... looks amazing yard, big school and a decent sized field. I asked at Ham Polo and they said apparently to get planning for the house they had to build the equestrian facilities as that is what the land used to be used for? rumour has it the livery is going to be super expensive ie thousands a month and has central heating and air con etc - so catering for the mega wealthy. Although this might just be horsey chinese whispers.
If anyone else has any info i would love to know! Neither the numbers listed for Petersham farm stables or manor farm were answered when i rang.... very mysterious!
well i know that the stables belongs to kingston riding center, in richmond park, because they also own holly lodge in the center of the park which is a small livery yard with a out door school, i rang them up the other day and they didnt say thousands but they did say 800! which is still a lot! but thats not finalised yet so im sure it might be a little less but im guessing the cheapest is going to be like 650/700.. its also going to open in early/ mid april.. the house is occupied but i think from what i understand there just sorting out the last bits like ordering in food and hay and bedding and stuff.. but im really not sure.. i have also tried phoning them but have had no luck either still and its alsomost april! so who knows its a beautiful stables though i pass it everyday.. i might just go down there and ask!!

Went to see this yard today. My horse is a young and talented dressage horse and I want top pros to help me train him. He's currently with Anna Ross Davies, but the drive is too much for me. I want something near home. I also want hacking and turnout. Not much of that near London, but Petersham has all that. It's the most stunning yard I have seen in my life. Immaculate. Amazing turnout and lovely outdoor school and access to indoor at Kingston Riding Centre. The cost for full livery is £875 a month. However, it IS part of Kingston Riding Centre, which is very much a ponyclub with little girls in pink jodphurs wanting to jump poles and go for a hack round the park. The grooms and yard managers seem really knowledgeable, but I'm not sure if anyone is up to training a future dressage star. They don't allow outside instructors to give lessons, but anyone you want can ride your horse. I'm still debating with myself if I want to go there. I think they might be open to persuasion about an outside dressage pro coming in a few times a week. Especially if there are more dressage riders in the yard. It's SO convenient if you live in central London like me! And it's so smart looking! Only has room for 12 horses but the individual stables are massive. The tack room etc are lovely too. And they have hot water in the wash area. The paddocks are really lush because it's so close to the Thames they get their water from there. I doubt they will dry out even during the hottest summer. However, it's up a hill far enough not to go boggy in winter. Or so I hope. Hard to tell, but this time of the year, the place looks nothing short of amazing! Idyllic for London. Never seen anything quite like it! I want other competitive riders to come and join me there. If they do, I will go to! Please everyone, just do it!!!
