Manor House Racing Stables open morning 24 April

Manor House Racing Stables at Hampton, near Malpas, Cheshire, are having an open morning on 24/04/2015. All proceeds are to go to St. Luke's Cheshire Hospice. Entry is by pre booked ticket only, at £20 per adult.

Manor House Stables is the base of trainer Tom Dascombe, and is co owned by footballer Michael Owen.

I'm not a racing buff, but this is apparently a very interesting and enjoyable outing, and all in aid of a worthy charity.

Indeed it is! I won a 'Morning at Manor House Stables' last year (Charity Auction and I bid and won this prize).

Really enjoyed the morning and their facilities are second to none. Beautiful place and lovely staff and horses. Watched the horses come up the gallops, and having a swim too which was great. Watched one having a 'spa treatment' as well before going racing that afternoon. Saw the famous 'Brown Panther' in the flesh and there's a gorgeous painting of him in the owners room/bar too which is stunning .

The place used to be an old Dairy Farm my OH tells me and some of the original structures are still in situ, so he enjoyed looking round as he knew what the place used to be before it was bought for the racing industry.

We finished off with a glass of bubbly and lunch at the Poacher up the road (which is where I was for the annual Burns Night and their Charity Auction that led me to this event)!
