Doesn't it attract flies and wasps?

Or do you only use it on stabled horses, or only on wounds that can be covered on turned out horses?

I've only ever had to use it in winter, bit guess that it would attract need etc in summer. Not sure how you'd get around that :) be interested to see some solutions, for future reference :)

My friend is head nurse of tissue wounds (ulcers) and has won loads of awards for treating ulcers at home rather than the patients coming into hospital. She uses Mauka honey. She also uses it on her horse and has written a paper on this. I must admit I was sceptical at first but saw how it cleared up mud fever and cuts in a very short time. I use it now and haven't really seen any huge problems with flies.

Not disputing that's its good, but my horse reacts VERY badly to fly bites, so I don't want to risk attracting more flies, and I dread to think how he'd react to a wasp bite
:(
