manuka honey

Could any body tell me about manuka honey, as ive heard things about it all good and wondered if people had experiance using it and where to you buy it from? x

Look it up in the vet section of this forum. You can buy it from health shops and most supermarkets.
I have found it very good in healing cuts etc.

I just have got abit confused as ive looked on ebay and theres differant strengths of it and wondered if its all the same x

Google it, is the best advice. There are plenty of sites out there that will give you all the info you need, including the differences in strength.

It will be expensive for the real deal this year as it comes from 1 region and its not been a good year.

It works a treat on wounds & left a nasty bite on a show ponies muzzle (from another horse) without any scarring at all.

Actually any old honey will do. It's medicinal properties have been known for thousands of years.

Yes, honey generally is a very good healer, the Romans knew that, but the reason manuka honey is better is that a. the bees only take the pollen from the tea-tree plants and their oils are a proven natural antiseptic, and b. it has a different properties (a bee keeper did try to explain it to me, and failed!) which mean it is the only honey draws fluid from wounds which is why it is so good on leg ulcers.
