Does anyone know how much it costs to have a marble inserted to stop a mare coming in to season? Has anyone any experience of this technique? Pros and Cons? Thank you

My vet told me about £70.00, far cheaper than Regumate although not as reliable.

And they can lose their marbles! If it fell out in the field, how would you know?

Mine cost £40 to put in but it hasn't stopped her seasons. I'm still having to use regumate and the marble is def still in as I've had her scanned. My mare is VERY mareish and bangs her hip againist the walls when in season. Other people I know have no problems with it.
