Well 5 weeks ago I noticed my mare was eating her own poo. I spoke to the vet who gave her the once over and gave me a supplement to try to see if it would help. She has now been on the supplement for 4 weeks. the amount of poo she was eating reduced for a couple weeks, but she is now back to eating the amount she was before. Spoke to the vet who is going to come back and is deciding what is best thing to do.
