mare & foal - timescale!

Can anyone advise when its acceptable to reintroduce a mare and foal after weaning? We've only got limited grazing, many thanks (this forum is soooo helpful!)

My friend had 2 foals last year. She weaned them and then they were back in with their dams after just 6 weeks. Shes had no problems and she always uses this method as she hasn't got a lot of room either.

mine was back with mum as soon as the milk was dry!! think it was around the 5-6 weeks mark but deffo no longer as i had limited grazing at the old yard!
