Mare in season acting a little 'odd' around man...

Ok I'm going to put this as least strangely as possible if that makes sense!

My mare has very strong seasons and we have to separate her from the geldings. The strange thing is...I've even noticed she acts a little oddly around me. She gives me little nips and really follows me and just acts different with me than with my wife. Could it be anything to do with the smell of a man?
 
Thankfully the rude and unnecessary comments have been removed. Now could anyone please offer their opinion or experience of what I am finding with my mare?
 
maybe there is a pheramone (sp) that males give off. or you body spray etc. I know stallions react to womens perfume, body spray etc!
 
I bought a mare to sell on, because she was a cracking mare but owner could not cope with her in season and was about to flog her to a dealer (not a good one). I bought her, put a marble in, she's now out winning week in, week out and her new owner is over the moon with her. She was VERY mareish and have to say that even when not in season, our farrier would get her ridiculously fruity?! It was so odd, when she was in season she wasn't bad, but would squish you anywhere she could. Every time the farrier came, she'd do it to him. So yes, I truly believe that some form of testosterone is common to us and them, as she clearly reacted to a very male man turning up and handling her!!
 
Ooh thats a bit worrying, as my mare adores me and detests my husband! Perhaps thats why she didn't get in foal when she went to stud!

Seriously though, I think that mares like some people and not others, and make it very very clear.
