Myst is rarely in season and usually its only one or two days and doesn't change her temperament or have any problems other than the odd squeal/squirt. I've had her for 4 years and that's how its always been with her. But since i moved her to new yard she's been coming in and out of season almost constantly and its lasting alot longer. She's coming in from the field with her tail/back legs drenched and is escaping her field to get in with the boys and reversing under them practically :o
She's really hyper and on edge when in season, just cant concentrate and figits etc
One of the boys was gelded late so she's all over him as he does act quite stalliony.
I've never had this problem with her, she's always been a bit of a tart but this is on a whole new level!
Will be ringing the vets for advice on supplements for her as she had liver issues earlier in the year so reluctant to upset the balance of her feed, may have her blood tested again too. Was just wondering if anyone else was having issues at the mo as holding onto the hope that its to do with the odd weather or something rather than dreading what she's going to be like when spring kicks in!

Never, ever, ever let me buy a mare again PLEASE!

Dear Twyford,
Yep, Im in the same situation. Mine's very bad tempered most of the time too. She really is a horrible horse, but I have a very soft spot for her!! But guess what, Ive just bought myself a 2 year old FILLY!!
