On Wednesday night when I was walking her to the field she stopped three times and lifted her tail and spread her back legs like she was going to wee but only a tiny bit came out. And then yesterday when I was poo picking I noticed her stopping a lot and doing the same thing, aimed at both my gelding and the horse in the field next door. She was literally doing this every 5 minutes! My mum hacked her out yesterday and said she stopped a lot on her hack and did little wees too. She does lift her tail a lot when she's in season but never to this extent before. Also when she does it her ears are pricked and she looks happy/ alert and not in pain or straining. So.. does it sound like a season or something else ie cystitis!?

Mine does this when in season. Mines a tart! She's just coming into season (whilst on box rest) = very excited horse!!

She doesn't do it all the time but if the right gelding looks at her in the right way; she's a nightmare haha. Squeals etc funnily the boy next door to her; she can't stand. She tells him to come near her for a sniff & she then proceeds to try kick him in the face & scream. Il never understand mares haha
