Does your mare get all stroppy and moody when shes in season? Mines has become very stroppy and full of her self is this normal?

Perfectly normal, but have a look at some hormonal powders etc on the market there are usualy some good ones available.
Look up some feed merchant web sites and i'm sure they will have some supplements to add to her feed to help her mellow a bit.

I am lucky in that all of my mares are good and don't get marish when they are in season ... however many mares do and it's generally perfectly normal. As poster above says there are some herbs and potions which can be tried but I have no experience of using them so no idea how effective they are.
Just out of interest, is your mare kept with other mares or is she living in a mixed herd?

Shes lives on her own. Shes turn into a bad mannnered and stroppy cow when she is ususal very sweet wtih lovely manners! Hope this doesnt last long!

I am fortunate in that I have never had a mare who has got stroppy or mareish un any way, and I've got/had a few mares in my time!
