I have had my mare (7yr old Irish sports) for over a year now and I can honestly say I have never seen her come into season.
I do give her Angus castus as I was recommended this as she can be quite flighty and difficult at times.Would this affect her seasons ?
Should I worry about the fact she doesn't appear to come in season and get the vet out to check her out or just count my blessings

Many ares show no obvious signs, I have 2 here kept with geldings and neither show when they are in season, in fact my little welsh mare has never been any different and I would not have thought to get a vet out.

My mare wasn't obvious either. In all the years I had her she showed a sign literally only twice - she'd get a little mareish and tetchy for just a second about something that wouldn't usually bother her. She was never, ever mareish so that was the only giveaway.

Yep, T has only ever been showey once in the 4 years I've owned her. She should have had at least two seasons since then, but I've never seen any signs.
