Hi
i could give you the long story but i'll keep it short!
i was given a mare as a wedding pressie at weekend
(mare i have had on full loan/been looking after on and off since 1996) and i was actually given her on saturday
now this mare (section D) was a working broodmare before i first got her on loan back in 1996. She had bred 4/5 foals, of which i know 3 of the offspring and have seen some of them grow. (i know her 1st foal, 3/4th and last foal)
The owner once took this mare back in 2004/5? and the owner owns stallions - the mare came back showing signs of pregnancy - we had the vet down who got 'stuck in' and said that she wasnt sure - but that she was quite 'loose down there' as it happens, she was never in foal however......... she commented that she was 'loose'? now this vet - has ended up with a very bad reputation locally as she doesnt really know her stuff but hey ho.
I was just wondering if anyone knew about this possible 'looseness'? I am not saying i would def breed from her, but it would be a nice option, she was a fab mum and this mare means so much to me, over the years she has helped me thru a lot of things. As a potentional boodmare - shes proven - but not recently....
Any feedback would be fab
