I'm sorry if this is tmi for some people but I just want to ask if others have experienced something similar.

My mare had vaginal discharge today. White-yellowy, kind of sticky, with a tiny bit of blood in it. She has no fever and is acting as usual. I'm thinking it's probably ok to keep an eye on her today and call my vet tomorrow?

I've had mares for many years, but never seen discharge before. I recently spoke to a lady who lost her mare to some kind of cancer in the reproductive system, so naturally that's where my mind wanders. Has anyone here had similar symptoms in your mare? What was the issue?

Of course, if I am missing something and should call a vet urgently, please tell me to do so! My gut tells me it's not that urgent, but having never had a mare with these symptoms before, I appreciate any and all input!

I would think unless she is losing copious amounts of blood that it is fine to wait until tomorrow. Have you given her any Devil's Claw recently? That can cause blood liss in mares.
We had a former broodmare who was the only mare we've ever seen lose blood when in season, she was vet checked and nothing found. She lived into her 30s and was pts for something completely unrelated
