I have been with horses for 60 years but have NO experience of breeding!
In the spring of last year I bought a quality thoroughbred mare in a state of total neglect, she is now in good condition.
She is registered with Wetherbys but has NO history as registration was not kept up after sale in Ireland as a youngster.
She has very large teats but not an enlaged udder, I am wondering if this is a sign that she may have had foals, my vet says she shows no signs of spreading, so could she have had pony foals?
Could it be that she just has large teats? I would love to know if anyone has this experience, am trying to piece together what might have happened to her during her 7 years.

Any information would be great!
