As in standing on their back legs and waving their front legs about. Is this normal mare behaviour?! I've never seen it before, but madam has taken to doing it if she gets overexcited in her field! It's never done "at" me, or any other horse that I've seen, but just as she races about, she will suddenly stop and do this. It's very impressive ;) :p I know stallions do it...

I've seen our riggy gelding in the field by himself some days, kicking out backwards and squealing for all he's worth. Not sure what his problem is!! :D

Now that is marish behaviour!!! :p Madam was snogging one of the other mares this morning, until she saw me with her breakfast! She then whipped round, squealed and kicked at the mre she had been snogging, careered about a bit, then stood bolt upright and boxed! Strange ;) Wish i got that excited about my breakfast! lol!

My mare will rear in the field if she is in one of her moods, but wont waggle her front feet about!

My first mare used to say "enough" after say half an hour`s lunging..turn and face me..then up she went, walking towards me on her hind legs (God they are tall) and drop down beside me to all fours. No malice whatsoever, just her party trick.A more honest mare never lived, just her joke.
