i have a mare that really is a cow to other horses and people ... kicks bites rears buck ect, i noticed yesterday she was being nice to one of the geldings, bought her in and they were calling to each other, then when i put her back out noticed she had come into season....

but in general shes in a better mood, done her rug tonight whilst eating (even looking at her eating is dangerous) some muppet had put the hay out by the gate, posted her back into the field, and rather going for all the others she walked off and started munching..

so the question is has anybody else had a mare that is better behaved when she is in season??

no i havnt, my mare is pretty similar, that is bizarre about your mare... maybe shes feeling broody! its also quite late to be in season now though! Has she always acted like this!?!

Although my mare hasn't been in season for ages, when she is she's a lot nicer. All the way through last year she was coming in to season so I've never noticed a difference in time of year.
