Is it normal for mares to still be in season at this time of year? And do they wee a lot? As in frequent small amounts?

Everything else is normal and she doesnt seem in pain, doesnt do it in yard or when being ridden just when out with my gelding. Have only had a week or so. My other little mare never shows she is in season so just want some reassurance that this is normal.....

My old mare who lived with my gelding never seemed to come in season. Show her another gelding and she was weeing and flashing all over the place. Your other mare has sussed the gelding is a non starter but the new one is probably just excited to meet a new man. Once they have been together a while I'm sure she'll get the message!

She's just being a little tart TwoBays lol. She's trying to get your geldings phone number and ask him out on a red hot date. Yes she'll pee loads and if your gelding still had all his wedding tackle he'd think she smelt irresistable. Poor lady - she's Frustrated of Essex/Suffolk Border!

my mare never used to be such a flirt but shes now a terrible tease! the object of her affection is a little 12h spotted pony....really Princess Bridie has a little dignity! haha

poor old girl - I feel quite sorry for her now especially as my gelding is absolutely ignoring her! Have never seen it to this extreme in that every time she looks at him she postures!!!! I know he is a good looking lad but my.... that girl has some front!

Making a right old mess of her back legs though - yuck!

my mare is in season now and she is the biggest tart going...she's turned out in a small paddock - recovering injury and next to her is another small paddock with a geld in and my god what fun they have....i turned her out this am and they both called each other, she wee'd..stunner!! LOL, then went over to him at the fence and flashed at him, he had his manhood out tail up whickering to her, she's there with her lady bits in his face....and turning her head around to say...well do you want it or not?......lol...so funny to watch really as when she comes out of season she wants nothing to do with the boys....she's a tease....but its also part of who she is and I love her for it!!!!

Oh and the messyness of them too...it's vial...i have to keep cleaning her up!!!

My mare has come back in last week with the warmer weather.

She is a nightmare!

Out hacking if I try a ride alongside friend on mare she squats & tarts! It's a frigging mare love! The stallion was 15 meters ahead of us out hacking & didn't take a blind bit of notice! Though I was not going to ride infront of him to test him!

One of my mares never shows she is in season but the other one is a right tart - especially for scruffy little ponies! She's a very well bred TB!

Went cubbing last week & she spent the whole time squirting at a friend's gelding!:)
