Mares udder changing

Hi my mare isn't due to foal until July 26th, but I was a little concerned to find that her udder and teats that are normally so high and tucked away had dropped a little two days ago. Now today her udder is more swollen. As I have only bred twice before from the same mare 10years ago I can only go on my experience with that one but her udder didnt start to show any changes until about fortnight before.
I dont want to ring my vet and bother her as am probably worrying over nothing, but would appreciate any body elses experience.
She is a maiden.

My mare is the same, due July 25th and has been coming in with slightly swollen teets now for the last 1/2weeks...the articles all say it happens up to 6 weeks before??? This is about 10 weeks so is it normal?

They are also hardish???

Everything I have read says about 6 weeks so I am just hoping there isnt a lot more development, and yes my mares are quite hard and where I have been touching her teats to get her use to it and she was quite happy before she is not very happy about me touching her teats at all, so maybe they are a bit tender.
