I've never had this before. Turned her into a new, rested and very grass-filled paddock at the weekend. She's also had less work (well, no work) for the past week through a combination of lack of daylight, foul weather and my pressing deadlines.

Anyway, I noticed this morning that both her hindlegs are slightly filled. I've done a bit of reading, and as I suspected, it's probably due to the combination of grass and lack of work. She's completely sound and it's definitely not a tendon issue.

Am I right in thinking that the treatment is work and get her off the grass? She's out 24/7 still so would rather avoid bandages. I could bring her in for a few hours - would that help?

You will probably find that standing in will make the legs fill more not less, movement will usually help bring them down so more exercise and if you can restrict the grass another way, taping off an area to limit how much she gets while still keeping her moving around would help.
