I have a Mark Todd Airway breathable half pad. I put it away clean for storage in my house a little while ago. It is probably about 4 years old but not used much.
When I got it out today it felt hard and I squashed it in my hand and it seems the filling has gone hard and broken up inside the pad. It is lumpy and unusable. Black powder is falling out of it through the mesh.
I can't think that it has been exposed to bad conditions, it was in a storage box in my bedroom cupboard.
I wondered if this was a common thing happening to these pads, has it happened to anyone else?
I feel like sending it back to the manufacturer if I knew where that was (I can't remember where I bought it) though it is probably a bit too old for that.

That happens to a lot of foam fillings as they age, in all sorts of things. I guess they expected them to be used and wear out first.
