They don't give the weight because the'yre not comparable to a normal turnout rug because there's no 'fill' as such, just the Coolex lining. They perform as per a mediumweight though - quite useful when you want a warm rug but are nervous of getting caught out in warmer weather as at least they can handle a bit of sweating.
I was kinda hoping this would be the case. So good for a horse that is out 24/7, with a winter coat, but has lost weight. So in theory will keep the horse warm, without the horse getting overly hot. What do you reckon?
I have seen it advertised as a heavyweight, but it won't keep a horse as warm as a serious heavyweight though, so I wouldn't recommend it in seriously cold conditions, bearing in mind how much colder it is over night than the day... That said, it does have a neck cover which of course does seriously increase protection/warmth...
Having got an unclippable horse i looked into these!
apparently they are the equivalent to a 200g turn out.
Have a look at equestrian clearance I saw them for under £60 yesterday!- will pm you that incase you dont check back here!
My lovely (not) ex sells them in his tack shop. They are better than thermatexs in my opinion. Definately MW and if the horse gets too hot then no need to worry as the sweat will wick away.
