Looking for some new breeches as all my jod are falling apart. Want something half decent for a change, dont really want to be baring my backside at the most inappropriate time, coz they are on their last legs! So for those who have these, what are the sizing like? I can get into a 32" waist on the MT plaid breeches (but cant find these at a sensible price, the gisbornes i can find for under £35) and wondered if the gisbornes come up the same or do i need to go up a size. Also how high do they sit on your waist. I'm short in the body and most regular rise breeches/jobs come up to my armpits!

I have them and think they are fairly normal sized? I have my usual size in these (28) and they are fine. I bought the gisbourne ones and the denim ones at the same time, bought the 30 in the denim as thought denim might be a bit less stretchy than cotton and actually the 30 are a bit too big! Re how far they rise, again I would say fairly average - I have a pair of Toggi breeches that come up much further...the MT ones are nice and comfortable....only thing is they aren't they warmest things ever.

I have three pairs of Giborne breeches - in black, khaki and cream. I love them that much!!

I have had the black ones the longest (about three years) and I wear them two or three times a week. They are so hard wearing. They wash and wash and still look great.

Size-wise, I am a 14 and about 5ft 6. My breeches are waist 30. They are a super fit - I have a big bum and small waist. I think they are actually very flattering. They sit just nicely on my actual waist, not too high, not too low.

On my third pair now

love them, very comfortable and sit nicely on the waist although I have found the bum has been made bigger than my original pairs :O?! so they drop off me bit ... however the sizing seems to be standard, i take a 26 in them and im a size 10/ 5ft 8,and they seem to last well too.

I think its the tuaranga i have. i prefer them as they have full suede seat.

I found teh gisborne ( i thnik, if they are not suede seat ones) to come up a bit bigger than tuarangas. im a 28 in those but a 26 in the gisborne. my bum felt exposed (!!) in them i prefer a suede seat. I have 2 pairs of the suede seat ones they are fab, seat on my everyday pair getting ever so slightly thread bare after 2 yrs of constant use. my white and cream show ones still looking good a year on.
I also have some really high waisted ones (nelson or something?) love those too although im in between sizes which is v annoying!!
