Mark todd heavyweight t/o - thoughts?

Hi
Captain, my Gelderlander, has had one for 2 winters and it is as good as new. This is especially surprising considering that he is a really bad rug ripper. Also it is a fab. fit, he is 7ft and rangy and it fits beautifully, washes well too.
IMHO they are worth the extra money.

Hope that helps,
FDC

Have an oldish HW turnout that came with the horse. He is a determined rug ripper and this and his Slumberland are the only two that have survived unscathed! Thoroughly recommend, though check out Townfields current sale for TO bargains... just upgraded to a Rambo for £100!! :)

Love them. Fit my tb perfectly. Mine is now on its third winter, washes and reproofs well. Would reccommend them. The only downside is the price!! But they are worth it

Avoid all Mark Todd turnouts! I had two and they both leaked within a year, one of them with hardly any use... They were a really good fit though :p

My boy's wardrobe is almost entirely Mark Todd!! I have the 350g combo blue check T/O and its brilliant. Doesn't leak, doesn't rub, great fit and it doesn't weigh a ton either which I like!

Its also still intact after my friends horse spent a few months last year getting a free tow round the field by hanging onto the back of it!

I really like them - having said that, this is only my second winter with them so I don't know how long they last but I'm really impressed with them so far.

Thats the one i have :D

Had it bought for my mare, yet to try it on her but it looks like a fab rug and shes a bit of a rug ripper so thats good :D

I got one second hand, and was really impressed with it. Lasted a good four years and didn't leak. Only ended up in the bin as my new boy trashed it to pieces and it would cost as much to repair as to buy a new one!

have got the entire MT turnout range x 2 for my horses - had the older ones 4yrs or so now - not been reproofed in that time and still 100% waterproof. Love them!

I have had mine for 4 winters now. It's never leaked and seems well made.

I don't think it's that thick compared to some other HW's, but my mare has been out fully clipped in it and been fine though.

beware - friend just bought a lovely one for £120 inc neck cover. It rained the first night it was on the horse, and in the morning she had purple dye all over her, cos the filling leaked. Rug now removed from shelves, rep involved.
