Mark Todd rug sizing

My horse has a Mark todd MW stable rug and T/O in 6 foot, both of which fit him brilliantly. I recently ordered a LW stable rug and universal sheet in the same size and brand from a well known online retailer, but both are slightly short, and more importantly are very tight at the front - they look as though they'll strangle him if he tries to put his head down! Has anyone else found the sizing has changed or have I got a dodgy batch?!

I found this last year. Mine have always been 6'6" in MT and I've got a fly sheet that's a few years old and fits brilliantly but is starting to fall apart. I ordered one online and found the same as you- waaaay too tight at the front. I stupidly hadn't tried it on immediately as I just assumed it would fit, so by the time I found out it was too late to return it. Lesson learned!!

I've recently got my boy a couple of 6ft6 MT rugs. He's a 16.2 TB and the MT's fit him perfectly, he is quite a fine but tall chap and the chest is perfect for him and they are lovely and deep. Which makes me think they may come up a little small for a horse with big chest and shouders. My Weatherbeeta 6ft6 rugs are a bit big for him so would probably suit a chuckier sort.
