Sorry another post about boots...

However after looking online last night I am torn between the mark Todd country boots and the ariat glaciers. The most important elements are they must be warm (I suffer from very bad circulation) and waterproof. Moreover, they have to be able to last more than a year as I wear my boots day in day out up the yard etc.

Thanks!

I have no experience of the mark todd boots but have Ariat Glaciers and absolutely love them. They have lasted 4 harsh winters, still going strong. Very warm- I too have very bad circulation and get freezing feet and these are the only boots that have ever managed to keep my feet warm.

Totally waterproof also. When mine run out I'm definitely getting another pair.

I'm in my second pair of Glaciers - the first pair are years old (I got them the first year they came out) and I still use them in the garden. The insides are falling apart, but they are still warm and waterproof. The newer pair still look brand new and I wear them everyday. Warm and waterproof and, for me, very comfy. I struggle to get comfy footwear as I have high arches. Would advise taking good care of them - I use the urad cleaner and wax - usually weekly (sometimes i 'forget'!) - and use the boot horn and a boot pull to take them on and off - it will keep the insides better.

No experience of MT boots but Ariat every time.

My glaciers lasted approx 3yrs of complete abuse and neglect. I bought grassmere's next and they've lasted 5yrs of the same treatment, if not worse. In fact they are completely demolished and I've split the leather but they still aren't leaking?

I have a new pair of glaciers but I can't bring myself to 1) get them dirty 2) throw my destroyed grassmeres away.

They've always kept my feet warm and dry. I can't imagine having any boots that aren't ariats.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied on this post ans my previous one as yesterday i purchased the last pair of size 6 glaciers from my local tack shop. They have already been christened up the yard and they are soooo comfy and toasty!
