My friend is selling her lovely 13hh cob and can't really figure out where or how to advertise her.

Was bought as a mother/daughter share and is fab with the kids on a lead rein but a bit too much off rein when out so really needs an adult or teen rider.

Where would you advertise and any thoughts on reasonable price? She paid upwards of £4k during covid iirc. 10yo hw pretty coloured mare, never once seen her put a foot wrong but no competition experience to brag about.

Will she hunt? IMO (for what that's worth) 13hh is a smidge small to hit the main adult market, but she could make a good hunting pony for a confident older child. Alternatively you could advertise her as a lead rein pony that will do a bit of hacking for mum when required.

Thanks all, you're echoing my thoughts when she bought. Very much child sized and a teen would probably grow out of her very quickly.

My friend must be at least 5'4 and isn't too big so probably a good idea to get pictures of her riding.

I have a similar sized mare. She works well for leading children’s ponies off but really does have a weight limit of 9 stone and about 5ft4 in height. Not that I plan on ever selling her, but in her adult years she will now look after a child. Maybe worth trying again with this one?
