i have just bought a market harborough with webbing reins,i cant stand using the webbing reins but cant seem to find any where that sells the reins seperately in leather does any one know

I guess, last resort would be to get a saddler to splice the webbing reins and attach a new rubber covered section

We have rubber market harborough reins here in our shop but they are much more expensive. I 'think' they are made by jeffries.

I have the same problem with my market harborough reins i does my head in cause they kill my hands!!

I got a saddler in Kent somewhere to make mine up, unfortunately it was a few years ago and I'm not sure of the name - it might have been towngate or townfield - something like that. Think they cost me about £30, hope you manage to find some.

ETA The saddler I mention was exhibiting at Hickstead.

Wear thin riding gloves? The continental reins they come with give you a better feel of the horses mouth, which is probably why they come with them as standard and not rubber.
