Hi Toffee44

Firstly welcome the forum.

Secondly as above try SmartWater or any of the security marking devices used on motorbikes.... or even ask your local police for an ultra violet security pen.

Hope that helps!

Microchips can be read through wood. You could do worse than to drill a very small hole (2.5mm diameter and about an inch deep) and put a microchip in it. Plug the hole with plastic wood or something similar and note the location.

Open an account on Immobilise, (it's free) and register the chip number, add a photo of the cart and a discription. Immobilise is the police's preferred personal property database and is accessible to the police from their patrol cars and hand-help devices.

PM or email me if you want to discuss.
