Marking out a grey for clipping

Any suggestions on how to? She's being clipped on sunday and it's the first time she's been clipped whilst with me as she was off last winter lame. How can I mark out the lines? seeing as she is grey skewbald and chalk wouldn't show up on her. Any ideas?

A wetted finger dragged along the coat? Failing that - coloured chalk.

I use marker pen when I clip as I find chalk doesn't show as well and can be smudged.

Marker will come off straight away with a damp sponge after clipping.

I think taylors chalk good and its usually in different colours ie blue and its easy to get hold of.

Don't bother, drag your finger backwards through the coat to mark it roughly (easy to smooth back when it doesn't look quite right!), then clip to those rough lines, then get the tape measure out at the end to even up any little bits that don't match.

Thanks guys Think will attempt the finger idea if it doesnt work will get some blue chalk

I use dry wipe markers - good coloured lines to follow, then they just come right off with a damp sponge!
