Does anyone here feed such a product successfully to a horse that has had laminitis? Is it possible to convert them over or just too much of a risk?
When I look at the stats it appears to have a similar amount of energy and sugars in it to hay...

Have you actually had your hay analysed to see what it's protein levels are... or are you guessing ? depending on when your hay was made and what type of hay it is, ie seed or meadow, the feed quality could be wildly different. The whole point of buying a product like this from Marksway, is that they have analysed the product.

My friend has a pony who has had laminitis and is a cushings sufferer. She feeds Baillie Haylage, she feeds their timothy variety. She has no problems.

I have two laminitics and have successully used both the blue and the Timothy horsehage from Marksway. They won't need much hard food with it-just a basic high fibre cube with Hifi Lite.
